A WEEK OF RADICAL GENEROSITY IN JESUS' NAME

This Thanksgiving Sunday, which is also the second Sunday of the month, a Sunday we are designating as Food Bank Sunday, we are joining in a week-long campaign, from the 2nd to the 9th, called Love Atlantic, which involves many churches in Atlantic Canada participating in a week of generosity in our communities! We are inviting you to participate in two ways. First, if there is an act of generosity that you can do for a neighbor, friend, stranger, or for a community organization, please consider doing something this coming week, and you can report your time at the following link: Love Atlantic. Some ideas are to make and deliver a meal or muffins to a senior, mow someone's lawn, or help clean someone's yard or street; buy and deliver coffee and/or treats to a local small business; give someone you know is struggling a gas card or grocery card. Secondly, consider making a special donation to our local Fundy Food Bank this week. Our church will receive food items on Sunday, October 2nd and 9th, Monday-Thursday from 9 am-noon, and Monday and Tuesday from 2 pm-8 pm, and offerings can be received in person on both Sundays, or anytime online. Food items such as pasta, cereal, rice, canned goods, bread, toiletries, and any nonperishables. We also would encourage donations to the Red Cross, or to our Benevolent Fund.
